Gurbir is taking the lead for the Friday night fun

Chi-Chi has invited MWUG members to visit the WordCampUK venue, MMU Business School on Mon 21st June, 4-5:30pm.

Joining the WordCampUK mailing list is worth it.

Gurbir wants to produce a Delegate Guide for WordCampUK. It will contain a map with certain locations, programme, potentially a list of delegates. Gurbir will also try to get 10% discount at local restaurants for delegates.

WordPress on Mobile: How well does the WP Admin Area display and work on mobile platforms eg. in developing countries? Admin Area is still heavy, though more accessibility in 3.0. Front-end form or email may be best option.

WP 3.0 does not have a release date yet.

Mike enthused about Custom Post Types. They don’t appear in the Loop…apparently! [Ed. – I was referring in part to this article by Alex King]

Meeting Notes 21st April 2010

There were only three of us last night at April’s MWUG; myself ,  Richard and John.

We initially chatted about how we started with WordPress and what we do with it nowadays, then we went upstairs at MadLab after an MDDA event and continued chatting while eating the leftover food from the MDDA event!

We talked a bit about the WordCamp social on saturday night which Richard is organising, about contact forms and stat tracking, the ash cloud and V3  features we’re excited about. So, we didn’t cover anything from the agenda!

Hopefully, we’ll see more people next month!
